1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using MetMe.AI (“MetMe,” “we,” “our,” “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

MetMe provides an AI-powered relationship management platform that helps users organize, analyze, and recall their professional connections (“Service”). These Terms govern your use of the Service and all related websites, software, APIs, and mobile or desktop versions.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use MetMe. By using the Service, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into binding contracts in your country of residence.

3. Account Registration & Security

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

MetMe is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized access if you fail to safeguard your credentials.

4. Subscriptions, Trials & Payments

MetMe may offer free trials, monthly, or annual subscription plans as described on the Site or within the App.

• Billing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe in USD.
• Free Trial: Trial period will be indicated during signup. Continued access requires subscription activation.
• Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal.
• Cancellation: You may cancel anytime in your account or via Stripe Customer Portal.
• Refunds: Except where required by law, all fees are non-refundable once a new billing period has started.

MetMe reserves the right to modify pricing or change plan features with reasonable prior notice.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

MetMe incorporates artificial intelligence technologies (including OpenAI and Whisper APIs) to assist in generating summaries, insights, and follow-ups.

AI outputs are automatically generated and provided for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for verifying and interpreting AI-generated content before acting upon it.

6. User Content & Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data and content you upload to the Service (“User Content”), including contact details, notes, tags, and meeting information.

By using MetMe, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide the Service.

We do not sell or share your User Content with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

Upon account deletion, we will delete your User Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that infringes on third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or redistribute the platform.
• Use AI features to generate deceptive, abusive, or illegal content.

Violation may result in suspension or termination of your account.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service—including design, software, branding, and underlying technology—belong to 18th Street Films DBA MetMe.AI or its licensors. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any portion of the Service without written consent.

9. Termination

MetMe may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

You may delete your account at any time via Settings.

Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately, but certain clauses (e.g., Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, and Dispute Resolution) will survive termination.

10. Service Availability & Updates

MetMe may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time without notice.

We are not liable for downtime or loss of access due to maintenance, internet failure, or third-party service interruptions (e.g., OpenAI, Stripe, Supabase).

11. Disclaimers of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” MetMe disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• MetMe and its affiliates, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MetMe, its affiliates, and team members from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

14. Compliance & Data Protection

MetMe complies with GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA obligations regarding personal data handling as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree not to input or upload personal data you do not have the right to process.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting support@metme.ai. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration under AAA rules in Delaware, USA.

16. Cross-Border Users

If you access MetMe from the EU, UK, or elsewhere, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States under applicable data protection mechanisms.

17. Changes to Terms

MetMe may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
